Catholic Church Promotes Open Borders…Gets Sued By Hispanics Over English-Only Schools

To hear the Catholic League’s William Donahue tell it, the three Hispanic families who are suing the Catholic Diocese of Wichita because of an English-only policy at St. Anne Catholic School, are, well, you know, a bunch of ingrates, Lou Dobbs Tonight, Aug. 13.

As Dobbs duly noted at the top of his conversation with Donahue:

No church, to my knowledge, has been more supportive of Hispanic immigrants into this country, than the Catholic Church. For this tone to be taken between three Hispanic families and the diocese of Wichita, I mean, that’s sort of breath-taking, isn’t it?[Lou Dobbs, August 13, 2008 ]

Said an obviously steamed Donahue:

Now look, a Catholic school is a private institution. You know what you’re buying. You can’t have somebody coming in there and saying, I want you to rid the scriptures because I don’t like the way your rules are. You can shop around. You can go down the block to another school, including a public school. Catholic schools have autonomy. (Except, as in St. Anne’s case, they are foolish enough to accept federal funding. This school just learned the hard way that there is no such thing as a free lunch).

But, golly, Mr. Donahue, are you saying you want to have it both ways?

Dobbs is right on with his overview of the problem. For years now the Catholic Church, struggling to shore up its declining membership, has been sticking its unwelcome nose into a public policy issue that affects every aspect of our daily lives and expending none of its cash to support its de facto “Welcome the strangerâ€

The Democrats want voters
The Republicans want Workers
The Catholic Church wants to fill their seats i.e get money and power eventually from this population...

And the majority of Americans want the illegals to get up and out of our country and never curse our shores again...

Planning the demise of Protestant Western culture and using taxpayer money to do it.

When are we going to get busy with filing the IRS 13909 complaint form? I have had a promise for the last several weeks from a noted author to check with some attorneys on it. But still waiting. They are using tax free donations, federal money from the Charitable Choice Act, money from foundations and corporations--all to institute their open migration vision.
I need some volunteers who will pursue this, too.

WICHITA, Kansas, August 15, 2008 – It will stay English-only at St. Anne Catholic School. A federal court judge says the policy at the school doesn’t violate any laws. So, school administration will still be able to ban students from speaking Spanish on school grounds.

The judge had some harsh words for St. Anne’s school officials, believing if they would've consulted with Hispanic members of their congregation before implementing their English-only policy, this whole court case could've been avoided. But he said legally the policy doesn't create a hostile environment for education and sided with the church.

“My heart goes to the kids that are still there they had a lot of hopes on us, But God loves us all and I know God is going to take of them,â€

Well... I doubt that as these people refuse to allow their beloved spanish to take a back seat to English! That's what this is really all about! But you got it right Judge! Thanks!!

I had my phone in my hand to call IRS on the churches getting their tax-free status, while they preach politics or harbor illegals.
Then I was afraid they would ruin my life as only the IRS can!
Yes, let's turn them all in.
Make up the list with addresses and we can all send them in! Starting with Elvira and that other witch's sanctuary church.

As a practicing Catholic...I'm steamed about the position of the church in aiding/abetting illegal aliens....but it's not just the Catholic churches.....the Methodists, the Lutheran Family Services, the Quakers (The AMerican Friends Service Committee), and even Jewish organizations are all aiding/abetting and making our society miserable by encouraging and harboring illegal aliens.
It's enough to make us all sick. By ecnouraging, advocating and assisting illegal immigrants, they also have been directly and indirectly supporting human trafficking, drug smuggling cartels, the exploitation of illegal alien workers, the importation of violent illegal alien gangs and helping to line the pockets of the profiteers of illegal immigration to the detriment of all citizens and legal immigrants who abide by the law.
