Illegal alien and convicted felon Emma Tlacoxolal-Perez was sentenced this week in U.S. District Court to 33 months in prison for running brothels in Chesapeake, Newport News, James City County and Williamsburg.

The Mexican national was the head of a prostitution ring which employed women smuggled into this country from Mexico, and only catered to other illegal aliens. Tlaccoxablal-Perez, along with co-conspirator Felipe Vargas-Ortega, passed out business cards to advertise for the brothel known as El Nopal (The Prickly Pear).

Two more alleged co-conspirators, Francisco Sanchez-Martinez and Juan Carlos Vargas-Ortega, are scheduled for trial in September.

Tlacoxolal-Perez, 37, who has operated brothels in the Hampton Roads area since 2004, was actually deported in 2006, but easily found her way back across the largely unprotected border.

Customers paid $30 for 15 minutes with one of the prostitutes, the ring leaders kept half of it.

The Newport News location was in a suburban neighborhood and Mexican men typically went through the neighborhood at all hours, knocking on folks; doors looking for the brothel.

Managing Assistant U.S. Attorney Howard J. Zlotnick told the court: “The poor people living on Eastwood Drive,â€

If one of these dirtbags knocked on my door - they would not like what I had to say!

The brothels run by IA's here in lovely CA don't need buildings for sex - there was a bust a few years back on IA women that just put blankets over bushes and they serviced the men right there on the ground. One year there was a lot of rain and some IA prostitutes tried to cross a raging creek in thier car - the two women in front made it out - but the two in back drowned.

I have heard of stories like this before, and what I do remember about it, these known cases would only represent less then one percent of the brothels spread throughout the United States, and with the average age of the girls being only 16.5 years old. With the age of consent back home at only 12 years old, many of these girls in these brothels are considered a little old, and many find themselves roaming the streets of American when their pimps discard them. And these are the lucky ones; many are often discarded by being murdered to keep them from directing the authorities back to the brothels.

The real lucky girls are smuggle back South over the border and sold back to their families, only to be resold by their families to yet another cartel for even more prostitution. In many cases this is the only source of income for these households.

In Response to "Mexican Brothels Coming to a Neighborhood Near You"
    By Michael Cutler

The news article I have attached below appeared in last week's edition of the Examiner, a local newspaper in New York. It raises an issue I have been hammering for the longest time, that the massive influx of illegal aliens creates opportunities for more criminal activities and the exploitation of aliens who are forced into various criminal situations including women who are coerced, in one way or another, to work as prostitutes.

Generally the women who are exploited are themselves illegal aliens and they are placed in an untenable situation, often by the same smugglers who bring in illegal aliens, most of whom are young men who will accept employment for substandard wages under conditions that are so substandard as to be patently illegal. Because the majority of the workers are young men who are not accompanied by their wives or girlfriends, it is easy for the smugglers to make significant money by trafficking in women to work in the brothels frequented by those aliens.

The point that needs to be made is that while the advocates for open borders often accuse those of us who want our nation's borders to be secured against the entry of illegal aliens whose identities, backgrounds and intention are unknown and unknowable, to be bigots or racists, the reality is that while I cannot speak for anyone but myself, my concern is that massive illegal immigration impacts so many aspects of our nation and all too often leads to further exploitation of vulnerable people including women who are forced to endure the humiliation of becoming prostitutes. I can also tell you that the great majority of the folks who I speak to who are also advocates for secure borders and an immigration system that has real integrity are equally concerned about these issues.

Illegal immigration leads to exploitation of those who are most vulnerable, contributes to criminal activities in the United States where a wide variety of crimes are concerned, adversely impacts national security, hammers our nation's economy, and hammers other areas of great concern such as education and health care.

I would also ask you to consider this paragraph that appears in the article: -In June 2007, police in San Antonio arrested a mother and her two daughters for smuggling two minors out of Mexico to use them as prostitutes. Once in the U.S., the girls ages 15 and 17, were told they would have to work as prostitutes for five years to pay off their smuggling fees of $3,000. They were threatened at gunpoint and told that if they did run away, that their families back in Mexico would be killed.

Not only does this paragraph address the issue of the underage girls who are often forced into prostitution, an experience that will forever scar them for the balance of their lives, but it also points out another point I have often made about how members of foreign gangs and criminal organizations are able to coerce various levels of cooperation from members of the immigrant community by threatening to kill or otherwise do great harm to the family members of immigrants who are living in the United States.

It is unconscionable that this issue is never addressed by so-called "pro-immigrant" organizations. These folks know damned well that these threats are often used by the various ethnic gangs and that this is not limited to just Latino gangs but is used by every gang from every foreign country and ethnicity.

The outrage is that often lawful immigrants who arrive in our country expecting to live a life free of the violence and threats of violence that terrified them in their home countries quickly find that the same thugs who made their lives miserable back home have managed to come to the United States and continue to prey upon them and their families both in the United States and in their home countries as well.

This is certainly not the "American Dream" but does represent one hell of a nightmare!

Our nation must not only secure its borders against the illegal entry of illegal aliens, but must create an immigration system that has meaningful integrity if our nation is to effectively address the many challenges confronting our country and our citizens.

In less than two years each and every member of the House of Representatives is up for reelection. In less than two years more than one third of the members of the United States Senate will have to face their constituents. They need to be reminded that they work for us, We the People! The large scale apathy demonstrated by citizens of this nation has emboldened elected representatives to all but ignore the needs of the average American citizen in a quest for massive campaign funds and the promises of votes to be ostensibly delivered by special interest groups.

There is much that we cannot do but there is one thing that We the People absolutely must do- we must stop sitting on the sidelines! The collective failure of We the People to get involved in make our concerns known to our politicians have nearly made the concerns of the great majority of the citizens of this nation all but irrelevant to the politicians. I implore you to get involved! If this situation concerns you or especially if it angers you, I ask you to call your Senators and Congressional "Representative. This is not only your right- it is your obligation! You need to politely but pointedly, demand to know what they are doing to protect our nation.

You need to ask them how they are protecting you and your families. You can also forward this commentary to them. All I ask is that you make it clear to our politicians that we are not as dumb as they hope we are! We live in a perilous world and in a perilous era. The survival of our nation and the lives of our citizens hang in the balance This is neither a Conservative issue, nor is it a Liberal issue- simply stated, this is most certainly an AMERICAN issue! You are either part of the solution or you are a part of the problem! Democracy is not a spectator sport! Lead, follow or get out of the way!
