Mexican man charged by Feds with smuggling illegals—
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) -
Delaware's U-S Attorney and federal immigration officials have charged a Mexican citizen with trafficking in illegal immigrants.
Twenty-two-year-old Jesus Salinas-Escamilla is accused of trying to smuggle 12 people into New Jersey from Texas. He was arrested last week after a Delaware state trooper pulled him over for speeding on Interstate-95 and saw the people crammed into his pickup truck.
If he's convicted, Salinas-Escamilla could get ten years in jail, a 250 thousand-dollar fine, three years' probation and a 100-dollar special assessment.
He's currently behind bars awaiting trial.

No mention of what happened to "the people crammed into his pickup truck."
They probably released them already.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
