Authorities Patrolling Falcon Lake Again

FALCON LAKE – Tiffany Hartley begged authorities not to stop searching for her husband’s body. She said the murder of the top Mexican investigator who was handling the case shouldn’t stop searchers.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS spent much of the day at Falcon Lake. We didn’t see any searchers on the Mexican side. Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez says he can’t even get in touch with authorities in Mexico to figure out what they are doing with their search.

On the U.S. side, our crew saw several Border Patrol boats on patrol and a C.B.P. chopper in the air. Still, it looked like the U.S. search has been significantly scaled back.
