Is America Ready For Ron Paul?

Is America Ready For Ron Paul?

Many people want to judge candidates in the 2008 Presidential Election on things like abortion. It really does not matter how any candidate feels about abortion, it is a non-issue at this point. Immigration, the Iraq war, the corporate takeover of America and what we do about each of these things, could determine the direction and even the future existence of our country.

Our founding fathers believed that we should not get involved in foreign issues that are not of vital national interest. Right now we have soldiers stationed in over 130 countries around the world. We need to bring those soldiers home and ensure that we have strong national defense. Part of a strong national defense is securing our borders. Any country that has 12 million people crossing its borders illegally, would realize an invasion is going on. The citizens of the United States realize we are being invaded and are coming to understand that our politicians simply do not care. One of the biggest opponents of border security and proponents of amnesty is the United States Chamber of Commerce. The United States Chamber of Commerce represents all the major corporation of our country and they could care less what the average American citizen wants. Now I am all for capitalism, but a capitalism without patriotism will be the end of our great Republic.

Civilizations have come and gone throughout history. What Rome took with the sword, Corporations now take with a pen, a huge bankroll, influence of corrupt politicians and the might of the United States Military Machine. The elite corporations of our world move jobs, people, equipment and merchandise across borders with their only loyalty to the corporation and corporate profit. United States manufacturers claim they can not turn a profit without cheap foreign labor. Yet Japanese manufacturers have moved their manufacturing facilities here, are paying good wages, and are doing even better than our American Corporations. The same corporations that have virtually all manufacturing conducted outside of the United States, in third world countries.

Many corporations that do not move out of the United States, try to circumvent paying a decent wage to Americans by hiring illegal aliens. I know of a property management company in Denver that has over 1,000 illegal aliens on its cleaning payroll. These corporations would like us to believe that the illegals are doing jobs Americans will not. That is simply not true. They are doing jobs at wages Americans can not afford. Americans don't live in small apartments with 3 or more families, with everyone sleeping in shifts. We will do their work, but only at a decent wage.

So, is America ready for Ron Paul? My opinion, America was ready for Ron Paul the day President Bill Clinton signed the NAFTA agreement with the full support of President Reagan and President Bush. The saying in my circle of friends is “the Democrats and Republicans are both taking us to the same place, they just take different roads.â€Â

we gotta keep pushing and donating and treating this as this is our last hope..

let me tell you, if RON PAUL is not elected and to a lesser extent Tancredo or Hunter, I am gonna tell -- I am in serious fear of what the future holds.

This isn't conspiracy theory talking, but things are unfolding and we need to push against it hard!!!

I'm with you guys...although I support Tancredo, if Paul is the man on the ballot come election time he can count on my vote! Guiliani, Romney, McCain are not the answer, they might as well join the Democratic (give away the country) party. Tancredo, Paul, and Hunter are the definite choices as far as I am concerned.

I agree with you BrightNail, this is our last hope.I know we all have our favorites among Tancredo,Paul or Hunter but I feel we should vote for whoever of the three makes it to the final round, even if he isn't the one we wanted.Any of these guys is better than the other choices out there.

I think we all agree that we will support whichever of the 3 makes it to the final round. My fear is that we can't wait for *one* of them to end up on the final ballot, because none of the 3 will make it to that far with our support divided among them. Even if we could unite behind one, we would be a long shot to win. Even though this article talks specifically about Ron Paul, I think it would apply to any of our 3 and gives a good idea what they would face from the media, which we have already seen!

Agree. It seems that we're going to have to get behind one or the other SOON and stay there. We need to pledge that we will be strong and UNITED enough in our cause to do that. Anyone can see that this is going to be necessary in order to win. I'm more than willing to unite with everyone on our final choice.

I've pledged my support behind Ron Paul. I've signed up on his website, have bumper stickers, and most of my friends know who he is, an dlike what he has to say as well.

to hell with the MSM for ignoring anyone who actually supports our constitution. It's time all of us ignore the MSM.

ImBlest-Thanks for the post.I have been confused as to which one of the three to choose and now I see that we need to decide on one and focus on just that one.I have been behind Tancredo but, there have been many on here who have swayed me to the Ron Paul camp.I was worried about his stance on immigration and what should be done about the illegals but someone recently posted something about a six point plan which put my fears to rest on that issue. I know if we put all our collected support behind one we can have a good chance of getting him elected, just look what happened to the senate phone lines, but how to bring everyone together?

I can state why my support for Dr. Paul is so great. It's because I know he will follow the Constitution of the United States of America to the letter. his voting record proves without a doubt of why he get's my vote.

Here is this man's record. Which can be found just about anywhere or from anyone who supports Dr. Paul

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.

Does any other person running for President have a record like that to back up what he (or she) says? I looked, and no, even Tom Tancredo voted for a pay raise.

Dr. Paul should be the man we unite behind. We want a leader to follow the constitution. Dr Paul will do that. We want a man who is honest, and uncorruptable. Dr. Paul has proved that. We want a man who will institute the changes we want, mainly at ALIPAC border security and illegal alien deportations. Dr Paul will do that.
