The Creek County Sheriff’s Office arrested an illegal Mexican-national after a noise complaint at the Rolling Hills Mobile Home Park last week.

Jose Angel Montoya-Hernandez, 36, was arrested on drug and intoxication charges and resisting arrest.

According to a sheriff’s office affidavit, Cpl. Scott Forrester arrived in the mobile home park north of Sapulpa after neighbors complained about loud music.

Forrester said he found a white vehicle that was playing loud music at lot 5. He checked the license plate, and the registered address did not match residence.

Montoya-Hernandez went to the car and turned off the stereo. Forrester asked him if it was his vehicle and he said it wasn’t.

Forrester then asked him for identification and was told he didn’t understand the request. Forrester received the same response when he asked for Montoya-Hernandez’s wallet.

Forrester pointed to the wallet, and Montoya-Hernandez gave it to him.

Forrester found a voter’s card from Mexico. He checked the name against Oklahoma identification card names and found no matching records.

Forrester asked Montoya-Hernandez for a passport, green card or work visa.

Montoya-Hernandez again said he did not understand.

Forrester said he noted the odor of alcohol coming from Montoya-Hernandez’s breath and body. He then told him to place his hands behind his back and that he was under arrest.
