40,000 Undocumented Immigrants Detected By New Border System

United States border patrol agents near El Paso now have some new technology to stop illegal immigration. The new system which just arrived from Tuscon, Arizona is expected to make a big difference.

It can "see" for up to 10 miles away and scan 180 degrees in about 10 seconds. Once it detects movement, the camera zooms in for a better picture of what is causing the motion detected.

The system detected about 40,000 potential undocumented immigrants in the last three months of 2008.

Now, the El Paso sector has five mobile surveillance systems in operation. They cost more than a half million per system.

This might be good news, but I fear that the system will be ignored, especially under Obama. I suspect the fence will come down too.

Good Lord! 40,000 in three months?! Is this in one area or the whole border? At this rate we should just give it another year and then move to mexico...it'll be empty.

That show us all how wrong all the estimates are about how many illegal aliens are really here. If there has been 40,000 illegals detected in a 10 mile radius in 3 month, imagine how many have gotten through our southern border in the past 20 years.

There's around 60 million illegal aliens and their offspring in the United States. 4 years ago when I posted there were about 50 million, everyone laughed. But that's the actual number. You can calculate it from the US Census data, legal immigration figures, and US birth rates. 1/6 of our population consists of illegal aliens and their offspring.

Think how much better off our country would be right now if we didn't have such an unwanted illegal addition to our population? Our jobs would be plentiful, our wages would be sustainable, our welfare roles would be minimal, our money supply would be where it's supposed to be, our housing market would be stable, our crime would be down, our country would be solvent, our people would be happy, our children would be safe, our schools, hospitals and prisons would have surplus capacity and life in the United States would be as it should be.

We still have the problem of Free Trade Treason, but if we had controlled our borders and immigration, Free Trade would have never had a chance to get off the ground.

Jobs Out (Free Trade Treason) + People In (Illegal Immigration) = Bankrupt Nation.
