"Independents Day: Awakening the American Spirit." We’ll take
an in-depth look at the struggles of middle class Americans,
and ask: Are the presidential candidates addressing the issues
that matter most to you? Why not?

We’ll have stories on how the foreclosure crisis is devastating
a suburb of Cleveland; the battle over illegal immigration in
the Virginia legislature; efforts to improve teacher quality in
New York schools; and on state leaders’ efforts to address our
crumbling infrastructure.

On the 7 p.m. Lou Dobbs Tonight, we’ll have the latest on the
presidential race, including former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt
Romney’s decision to suspend his campaign.

Also, the city of Danbury, Connecticut voted last night to give
its local police the authority to train with ICE agents and
begin enforcing federal immigration laws. But the protest
against this measure has been huge. We’ll have all the latest.

Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman testified before in Congress
today on rumors that the U.S. taxpayer dollars spent to help
denuclearize Russia’s energy program have been given to Iran to
fund their nuclear arms buildup . That story, tonight.

The Teamsters Unions launched a national campaign today to fire
Transportation Secretary Mary Peters for continuing to allow
unsafe Mexican Trucks to drive on U.S. highways even after
Congress voted against it. We’ll have that report.

And foreign governments are buying pieces of the U.S. economy
through sovereign wealth funds. With an estimated $2.5 trillion
in assets, they are bigger than the entire global hedge fund
industry. Today the U.S.-China Economic and Security Commission
held a hearing to examine the economic and security concerns of
China’s huge stakes in U.S. banks, technology and
infrastructure companies.

Or even illegal immigration...do you think he has been threatened?

I am looking at Lou Dobbs now and he is saying 26 people kidnapped in our country last year and then raped and killed in Mexico.Terrorist cells in Mexico crossing to this country and attacking our citizens. This is not word for word but similar. Lou Dobbs s not backing off of the illegal immigration issue for I have paid special attention to this.

Now he is on the next show Independence Day and is saying this country needs an Independent for President . Which I agree, and I could go with Lou Dobbs,Lou Barletta or Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Pink outfits would be great for all the people here that should be in Mexico ,even Hernandez and Calderon.

It seems that the computer time and date is wrong ,unless it is only my computer .

I think it is so important because with these statistics they CAN NOT say the immigration issue is not important to Americans

In 2007 1562 illegal immigration bills were introduced in 50 states. 244 became law in 46 states.

Lou's Comments: And how many MSM stations have you seen these statistic's reported on. Answer....NONE!!

Lou had this as a CNN SPECIAL "Independents Day" The brief referred to here contained the preview highlights of that show. The show was actually rescheduled from a different day. It was not his regularly scheduled news program but was a special.

My guess is that Lou may or may not respond to Murguia. It's his call ~ like WIN SOME, LOSE SOME ~ but PICK YOUR BATTLES CAREFULLY. He might not want to stoop that low. I got the impression she was more like a pesky spider to him anyway. Why get tangled up in her web?

Yes "Shocked" your right I believe it was on "Independents Day" Special, what is important is that the statistics says the issue is important to Americans all accross this nation.

I think the plan Lou has is to counter attack Janet's "HATE" with snide remarks everyday, and to press home the fact they are an ethnocentric radical racist group in bits and pieces, I think he has only just begun to address this issue she has raised. Can't wait to see who his future guests will be on the subject.
