San Diego Minutemen Respond to Allegations of Racism, Intimidation of Immigrants

Tom Fudge: The Minutemen organization is well known for its opposition to illegal immigration and for patrolling the Mexican border. In San Diego, the group is known for entering local canyons, looking for suspected illegal immigrants and confronting them. The San Diego police are investigating allegations that local minutemen have gone too far, engaging in vandalism at immigrant gatherings. Some critics of the San Diego Minutemen accuse them of being a hate group.
