1 in custody, 7 detained at Phoenix drop house

PHOENIX - Authorities say one person is in custody and seven others have been detained at a drop house in southwest Phoenix.

The Department of Public Safety says the house is in the area of 91st Avenue and Broadway Road.

Officers with IIMPACT, or Illegal Immigration Prevention and Apprehension Co-op Teams, took one person into custody and detained seven suspected undocumented immigrants.

There was no immediate word on how long the group had been at the home or whether any weapons were found.
