Importing Illiteracy?

Immigration: A new study shows no progress in promoting the ability to read English. Cheap labor has social costs, and this could well be one of them.
For those who can read, America is rich in opportunities. Not so for the others. So it's dismaying to learn, from the government's latest National Assessment of Adult Literacy, how many residents lack basic English reading skills. What's worse is the rate of illiteracy hasn't changed since at least the early 1990s.
The study found 11 million Americans 16 or older can't read even simple English. In all, about 30 million adults, or 14% of the adult population, have "below basic" prose skills â€â€Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

That is not the only reason- its cable tv etc they dont have to learn english and they dont care too- its all choice- on their part- the woman across the hall- is from boliva - three years and she speaks about 50 words and she is married to an american man- they watch spanish tv , spend all their time with other latinos and talk spanish- there is no social stigma about not learning english-
frankly I think they do this not because they are in such dead end jobs - but because they are anti- american and anti gringo and lazy to boot-
they dont want our anglo culture they want our country to a sub division of mexico- why cant the stupid socialogist just write down : lazy instead of spending money on these dumb studies?
