U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva, D-Ariz., said Tuesday that if the controversial immigration bill is signed into law Arizona could lose major conventions, Super Bowls and other big events.
Grijalva says Gov. Jan Brewer should veto Senate Bill 1070, which calls for police to arrest illegal immigrants for trespassing and requires immigrants to carry work and travel papers. It also makes it a crime to pick up day laborers.
The Tucson congressman called the bill "racist" and said he would urge Hispanic and other groups to reject Arizona as an event location if it becomes law.

How can a representative demand that Federal Law be ignored? Does he not see Arizona citizens fearing for their safety? Is he blind to the violence spilling over into Arizona? Or is he aligned with a corrupt government that no longer represents citizens of the United States?
It is not the Canadian Mafia, or the German Mafia threatening the lives of American citizens, it is the Mexican Mafia Drug cartels. If the suspects in a home invasion are Asian, are cops allowed to search for Asian suspects, or must they suspect non Asians too?
This argument is beyond ridiculious. There is no civil right to illegal immigration. The constitution does not guarantee freedoms to law breakers. The states MUST enforce immigration laws because the Federal government refuses to do it.
