As ususual they can't get the terminology right. They aren't undocumented immigrants, they are illegal aliens.

I can't put any blame on the ICE agents, because the orders have been coming from the top.

Seriously, they have been held back, handcuffed and told not to do their jobs. I bet they are enjoing finally being able to put in a days work and making a difference. That's the career they chose and they went through the training only to be stopped by the President.

    Feds round up undocumented immigrants

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 187 undocumented immigrants in three of Florida's biggest cities -- Miami, Tampa and Orlando -- during a two-week operation, the agency announced Thursday.

Among those detained were criminal convicts, foreign nationals accused of ignoring deportation orders and other immigration law violators, the agency said.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement periodically makes announcements on roundups of undocumented immigrants in Florida, but in some cases arrests -- which are always taking place -- are not announced. The last big roundup was announced in June when 61 immigration law violators were picked up.

The agency said deportation officers teamed up with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agents assigned to the Tampa and Miami Offices to make the arrests.

Among the convicts arrested was Carlyle Thompson, a 32-year-old Bahamian who lives in South Florida. Thompson, who entered the country as a visitor and overstayed, was convicted of child abuse with injury in January 2006.

Also arrested was 31-year-old Elvin Matos-Pelletier, a Dominican convicted on March 28 of lewd and lascivious battery and lewd and lascivious molestation of a minor. Matos-Pelletier lives in the Orlando area.

Eight others were detained in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands for a total of 195.

''Those who think that they can circumvent the law are mistaken,'' said Michael Rozos, field office director for the office of detention and removal in Florida.
