Thousands of ILLEGALS Set to Lose Indiana Licenses
BMV readies license invalidation letters

INDIANAPOLIS — More than 32,000 Indiana drivers soon will receive notices that their licenses will be invalidated.

The state Bureau of Motor Vehicles will start mailing notices next week to those drivers and about 800 identification card holders thanks to a recently completed database check with Social Security Administration records.

The BMV started the check in November. It compared more than 6 million records and found 206,000 cases where its data didn’t match the Social Security information. A final records check on Feb. 4 whittled that total down, and most of the cases were resolved.

BMV Commissioner Ron Stiver says people who receive the notices will have 18 days from the time of the mailing to file a written appeal or fix any discrepancies.
