    Here's from Americas Voice:

Two Steps Forward for Immigration Reform

    Cross-Posted from Standing FIRM:

Today, immigration reform saw a welcome two steps forward.

First, a press conference today marked over 100 co-sponsors for the CIR ASAP bill, introduced last fall by Representative Luis Gutierrez (D-IL).

At the press conference, members of Congress reaffirmed and intensified their commitment to passing immigration reform.

Much of the message was framed around the passage of SB 1070 in Arizona and the copycat laws that are springing up around the country.

Chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus, Representative Barbara Lee spoke out against the racial profiling law:

We must act now. We cant afford to wait any longer. Arizona reminds us of that. We won’t let people divide us anymore. (via ClinicLegal)

Representative Luis Gutierrez, who introduced the legislation, drove home the urgency of the moment:

Now we know part of the big money people who have been fighting us, huh?

Others will expose themselves as time goes by, but for now we know at least one company not to buy movies and toys from.

I have enough PRO-AMERICAN memories to fill many lifetimes in Disneyland, so I can do without their chanting "it's a small world afterall" over and over.

These two are not a huge surprise - Representative Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) and Representative Barbara Lee

Where's Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton (both so called reverends who show no reverence towards anyone, as they alienate a LARGE SEGMENT of God's children (whitie) with their racist lifestyles - two embarrassments to Martin Luther King's dreams?

In December, 2009, the Congressional Black Caucus sent a letter to Obama re diverting unused T.A.R.P. funds to job training, job creation, and new business formation. The first paragraph of that letter specifically calls for funds to go to American citizens.!

We won't let them divide us... Well, browns get jobs, blacks go to jail. What has happened to this woman? She knew that in Dec., 2009. Someone must have put spiked her tea.
