Mexican government asks for help to locate 14 missing children. In February 2009, authorities confirmed that 14 children disappeared from 3 different shelters, victims of human trafficking. Even two and a half years after offering a 15 million pesos (over US $1 million), there has been no trace of them. There have been 47 people arrested so far, including one man extradited from Spain. Another has been sentenced to prison, a doctor that furnished medical excuses for the children’s absences.-CNN Mexico

CHILPANCINGO, GUERRERO

The remains of an executed man were left in plastic bags near a bus station. The man had been dismembered, flayed, and then his face burned. The facial photo is worse than out of a horror movie, and thus not included here. A message was left with it directed to the state attorney general.

CIUDAD ISLA, VERACRUZ*

Ricardo Reyes Alvarez, municipal police chief, was executed and two men with him were wounded. Reports are that he had been threatened.



CIUDAD JUAREZ, CHIHUAHUA*

GUERRERO

Ten members of an assassin group called La Barredora were captured, including Sergio DÃ*az Cisneros, the boss, who is responsible for the killing of two federal police in May.



ACAPULCO, GUERRERO

A 35 yr. old woman, six months pregnant, was driving with her daughter, when they were attacked by gunmen. She was killed and the daughter was wounded.

ACAPULCO, GUERRERO

A young man of about 20 was tortured, and then beheaded. His body was left on the street with the head between his legs.


AGUACALIENTES, AGUACALIENTES

State police developed information from a recent arrest, and found a clandestine narco grave beside a house. In it was a body with a plastic bag over the upper part. Reports say it had been there about a year and a half.
