Two Arrested in Sexual Assault, Kidnapping in Haw River

HAW RIVER, N.C. (WGHP )— Two men were arrested earlier this week and charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault and kidnapping case.

On Monday, Alamance County deputies responded to 1412 Trollingwood Road in reference to an alleged sexual assault. A female victim told deputies she was forcibly pulled into lot 105 at Kirby's Mobile Home Park.

The victim said once she was inside, she was sexually assaulted by two men.

The victim was taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center for examination and treatment.

Following an investigation, deputies charged Juan Jose Artiga, 30, and Jose Geronimo Artiga Rodriguez, 31, in connection with the alleged incident. Both men live at lot 105 in the mobile park.

Both suspects were charged with one count of first degree kidnapping and first degree rape. The men were placed in jail under a secured bond of $200,000.

Deputies said both men were placed under Federal Immigration Detainers after being processed through the 287g Program.
