Police search for man accused of raping teen

Roswell police are searching for a 30-year-old man they say raped a 14-year-old girl.

Edgar Ruelas, 30, is charged with criminal sexual penetration of a minor.

Ruelas is said to be a Mexican national in the country illegally. Ruelas has been living in Roswell and working for an oilfield service company based in Artesia. He is now on the run.

Ruelas is described as standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing in around 165 pounds. Rueles has brown eyes and black hair.
