"Immigration activists" need to find a new line of work. Americans are fed up with illegal immigration, they're sick and tired of the job loss, the deflated wages and salaries, the cost of educating illegals, the cost of medicating illegals, the political price of illegals and the whining of illegals, and they aren't going to take it any more. Any politician who supports immigration "reform", "guest worker permits", "path to citizenship", "amnesty", "shamnesty" or any other phony cover-up name for allowing illegal aliens to a) enter this country or b) stay here will be sacrificing their political career in 2010, 2012 or 2014.

The problem is now so massive that even the biggest skeptics can see it every time they walk out their door if they can't see it from their window before they walk out.

It's everywhere, it's madness, and look at what it has done to our country? It has bankrupted the richest state in our nation and is coming to a neighborhood near you if it hasn't already found its way there.

Momentum is building for comprehensive immigration reform with more and more Americans demanding solutions.
Well, no, more and more MEXICANS are demanding CIR. Americans are firmly against amnesty. Put simply, we're sick of picking up your bills.

If you have a facebook account, there is a hispanic conservative group which I belong to and this was the latest news I got from them:

I was able to attend the Chirilagua Festival in Alexandria this weekend, which was sponsored by the United Workers Union and the Democratic Party, an unlikely place for me, the hard-hatted conservative. I was there to help a friend,a Republican candidate campaigning for delegate. The festival was full of people from Central America and many other countries. I saw many families with small children. Overall the site and the presentation were nice.
Helping my friend with the campaign outside, I was talking with many Latinos as they approached the festival. There were two things that made me a little suspicious:
I saw a lady wearing a Venezuelan hat and a rojo rojito polo shirt (typical dressing for Chavistas, supporters of Chavez). I spoke with her and she confirmed that she was "200% in support of Chavez," and she felt she had no need to hear about the candidate I was there to help. Later I saw another lady dressed with the same outfit at the front desk talking with the people that were part of the organization and she also stated she was a Chavista.
As the day continued I saw other people approaching the festival and this time I saw another person with a polo shirt of the fmln (Salvadorian Communist Party). I don’t want to make conclusions or analysis here, but it is strange that we are seeing many Latinos with the emblems of Communist/Socialist parties that are already in power in Venezuela and in Salvador.
Why were these people talking with the organizers of the event?
Is this event infiltrated by Communists? Or maybe a way to appeal to many Latinos?
I would like to know, what is the role of Communist foreign political parties in the USA?
Chavez money and revolution has infiltrated Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Argentina, Paraguay and Colombia. We in America have to open our eyes, because I believe the Communist imported Chavez revolution is already rooting itself in America.

The Democrats are clearly courting the Latino community for support and voters, but in their quest they are also picking up contingencies of some people who came to this country with socialist and communist agendas. Innocent and unaware Democrats are not realizing that they may be trying to grow their support at dangerous cost and pay back may be Hell. They are playing with fire.

The following is a "Customer Comment" on Amazon about a book aptly titled "Importing Revolution":

Amazon.com: Importing Revolution: Open Borders and the Radical Agenda: William R. Hawkins: Book

4.0 out of 5 stars Open Borders Did Not Happen By Accident! It is an agenda!, August 23, 2004
By Ryan Setliff "InternetPundit.com" (VA, USA) - See all my reviews
    (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)

This book picks up where Pat Buchanan and Peter Brimelow left off in _Death of the West_ (2001) and _Alien Nation_ (1995) respectively. Ironically, William Hawkin's book was written before those groundbreaking classics on the immigration problem in 1994. Peter Brimelow has pointed out, "the U.S. immigration floodgates have not jammed on open by accident. A variety of groups are quietly working to keep it that way." William Hawkins sets out to reveal who the proponents of the open borders agenda are. He also reveals their machinations through the years have manipulated public policy on the immigration issue and in dealing with INS misadministration and the sizable illegal alien problem.

Groups such as the radical far-left National Lawyers Guild (NLJ) have used their growing muscle to serve the open borders agenda. The CIA and FBI had previously declared this group to nothing more than a pro-communist, Soviet-sponsored front group. It is no big secret, if you dig through Marxist-Leninist literature that they believe the West can be vanquished and weakened through immigration. They see the growth of a transnational immigrant proletariat in industrialized nations as a key to foment and further the cause of communist revolution. That was the clandestine goal behind their supporting the open borders agenda in the West and the U.S. Such groups as MALDEF, NLJ, and the ACLU, under the banner of "immigrant rights" have pushed for access to costly taxpayer-funded social services for illegal aliens and resident aliens while actively pushing for more legal hamstrings on local, state and federal law enforcement in their efforts to curb the illegal alien problem and enforce the laws on the books. If you follow the money trail, many radical groups since the sixties have found their financial backing from internationalist think tanks like the Carnegie Endowment for Peace and the Ford Foundation. Hawkins documents this with clarity. It is not surprisingly that Henry Ford's grandson left the Ford Foundation board, protesting that it has become the fountainhead of radical leftist, anti-capitalist causes.

This book is very academic and technical in nature; not surprisingly it is lacking in fluid readability. If this book were updated a decade later, an appending chapter might point out how the WSJ big business establishment has joined the open borders bandwagon. The WSJ is rife with glowing editorials advocating a customs, political and economic union with Latin America and Canada. Ironically, the dependency of agribusiness on cheap labor and hi-tech companies on foreign H1-B workers, have turned a considerable part of the Republican Party (particularly in California) into special interest pawns of the open borders agenda. They turn a blind eye to lack of enforcement and keep the legal channels of immigration wide open to Third World immigrants. They have no intention of meaningful immigration reform to avert the demographic disaster befalling America in the twenty-first century. George W. Bush lives under the delusion that the sizable population of first generation Hispanic immigrants is going to whimsically turn into a Republican constituency (owing perhaps to the presence of a diminutive anti-communist, pro-GOP Cuban community in South Florida.)

America's survival as a nation is contingent upon addressing the immigrant question and not having the debate clouded by Neo-Marxist radicalism and liberal egalitarianism. This book may be overly technical and a somewhat boring matter-of-fact presentation profiling the groups.

This is worrisome, miguelina, and I am sure the candidate the rally was for had not necessarily vetted the sponsors or workers or attendees. I have never heard of Chavistas, and I doubt that the current communist type organizations in this country want to be trumped by a Venezuelan import. But this is definitely worth watching.
I googled Chavistas but so many of the sites are in Spanish, where I am totally lost.
    Thanks, m!
