CBP Field Operations Officers Seize $320,000 in Meth, Cocaine This Weekend in Laredo Area

Laredo, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection Field Operations officers at the Laredo port of entry this weekend seized methamphetamine and cocaine totaling $320,000 in street value in two separate enforcement actions. One would-be absconder was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit in the cocaine seizure.

The methamphetamine seizure occurred shortly after 9 p.m., on Saturday at Gateway to the Americas Bridge. A CBP officer referred a 2000 Pontiac Montana driven by Maria Del Rosario Mendoza, a 39-year-old female U.S. citizen from Dallas for a secondary inspection. At secondary, CBP Field Operations officers noted discrepancies in the dashboard area and CBP Field Operations Canine “Towerâ€
