And I see this article just refers to the people as immigrants as well. And you are so right miguelina. It is against the law for them to work if here illegally. GUILFORD COUNTY HEALTH DEPT in greensboro,nc openly post flyers that say "undocumented " need only picture ID and letter from employee if you dont have pay stubbs(meaning illegal is paid in cash by employer paying them under the table) to apply for social services.Meanwhile americans are required to have tax returns,birth certificate,proof of residence,id.I am not making this up.Every baby is paid for even after it is a year old if "undocumented " worker makes under 38,000 a year,yes I said THIRTY EIGHT THOUSAND!

And what is amazing is Guilford County has the 287(g) program. All these laws and ordinances and bills with absolutely no teeth and no enforcement. It is a waste of money and man popwer and resources to propose and pass all these issues and then NOT ENFORCE THEM!!! (well at least not against an ILLEGAL ALIEN)EVEN THOUGH THAT IS WHAT THE LAW WAS FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most illegal aliens are working with fake social security numbers and most of them are here with their wives/girlfriends and U.S. born children. Illegals show up to get free prenatal care and are never questioned. They then go on to give birth to a citizen child and the free flowing benefits continue to increase. We need to be just as focused on deporting the non working illegal dependents as the working heads of households.
