Dozens of new federal prosecutors headed to border states
Dozens of new federal prosecutors headed to border states
Associated Press - April 24, 2008 6:55 PM ET
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - The Justice Department says Texas will get 29 new federal prosecutors as part of an effort in border states to beef up prosecutions of drug and human smugglers, gun runners and illegal immigrants.
Deputy Attorney General Mark Filip announced the 64 new assistant U.S. attorney posts during a visit to southern Arizona today that also included a helicopter tour along the border and a stop at the port of entry in Nogales, Arizona.
Arizona will get 21 new prosecutors. California and New Mexico each will receive 7.
The Justice Department is allocating an additional $7 million to pay for the prosecutors and new support staff.
The funds are available immediately and for the next two years. The Justice Department has requested another $100 million in its fiscal 2009 budget to help fight criminal activity along the border.

It's an election year and I would term this as election year rhetoric!
An attempt to pacify those who know and understand the rights of Americans and our laws.
Too little, too late for me this election year Bush & Co. Since McCain is the best the Repubs appear to offer and since some States appear to be "getting it right" when it comes to enforcing Federal Laws then I say we keep going with the push from the ones we elect to fill those seats in DC because they after all are the ones who legislate the laws and with numbers have the opportunity to override any Presidential Veto such as someone like Bush! From the Border Movie:
I will not sell my country out ~ I WILL NOT!
I'd like to see that pride back in AMERICA!!!
