Illegal aliens arrested at CVS site
Fri Nov 13, 2009, 04:12 PM EST
Chemung, N.Y. -
The arrest of seven Mexican illegal aliens working at the construction site of the CVS/pharmacy distribution center Thursday temporarily put the project on hold.
Each was charged with federal immigration administration violation, and one also faces a federal weapons charge. They were then sent to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Buffalo.
Chemung County Executive Tom Santulli said a stop work odor has been temporarily put on the construction of a 1.1 million square foot CVS/distribution center site on White Wagon Road.
