Illegal Alien Fatally Shoots Alleged Car Burglar With Illegal Gun Outside His Houston

Illegal Alien Fatally Shoots Alleged Car Burglar Outside His Houston Home — But Was He Justified? | TheBlaze.com

A Houston man shot and killed another man who was allegedly trying to break into his car outside his home on Friday, according to police.

The shooting took place at around 6 a.m. in southwest Houston, KPRC-TV reports.

The man told police that he heard some commotion before going outside and finding an unidentified man holding a shovel trying to break into his vehicle. He opened fire and shot the suspect. Police did not say how many rounds were fired or how many times the burglary suspect was shot.

The suspect was rushed to a local hospital and was later declared dead.

In a shocking twist, KPRC reports the homeowner is actually in the U.S. illegally and owns a gun — both of which are against the law. Police have not released any names.

The illegal alien and his roommate were brought in for questioning about the incident.

The ongoing investigation will now be handed over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The District Attorney’s Office will consider whether or not charges will be filed in the case.

In May, a three-judge panel in Denver upheld federal gun laws passed by Congress that prohibits illegal aliens from owning guns.

    From a previous Reuters report:
“Even those admitted on non-immigrant visas … are prohibited from having firearms and ammunition unless they secure a special waiver or happen to be hunters or diplomatic or law-enforcement officials here on business,” the judges wrote.
The case stemmed from the conviction of Emmanuel Huitron-Guizar, who was sentenced to 18 months in prison under a federal law that bars gun ownership by illegal aliens.
Huitron-Guizar’s lawyer, Ronald Pretty, told Reuters he will appeal the ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Texas is a mecca for illegals, second only to California. I have friends and family in Houston - ALL WANT OUT and are desperate to find jobs in states OTHER THAN Texas.

Americans are refugees in their own country.

    HOUSTON (FOX 26) -
A southwest Houston homeowner shot and killed an apparent car thief after he woke up to the sound of breaking glass.

The homeowner says he went outside to his driveway to find a man breaking his car's window with a shovel.

He tried talking to the man and yelled at his roommate to call 911.

That's when the man with the shovel came at him. The homeowner shot him in response.

That man died at the hospital. Relatives of the homeowner said he's been a burglarized before.

They said he has lived illegally in Houston for more than a decade and now fear he will be deported.

This one is almost fummy. Had n American done this they would be calling that American what? Texas does have a castle law, right to defend your home so expect te shootist illegal to be released rather than deported. But, that puts egg on the fafce of liberals trying to end "stand your ground" and "castle laws" Napolitano, explain your way out of this one - lose/lose situation on this one. FUNNEEEE .

Nice House. I wonder what documents he used when he got the loan to buy it.

Nice cars. I wonder how much he has paid in taxes since he has been here or if, as a landscaper, he deals mostly in cash. If he weren't illegal, someone would be asking..

A homeowner shot and killed a burglary suspect Friday who tried to break into his car in southwest Houston, investigators said.

The homeowner told police he heard the sound of breaking glass about 6 a.m., and, armed with a pistol, walked outside his home to investigate.

A man, identified by Houston police as Kyle Miller Jones of Pearland, then confronted the homeowner, police said. Jones was standing in the driveway at the home in the 11500 block of Misty Glen Lane at Vanderford, next to homeowner’s vehicle, police said.

The homeowner said the vehicle had a broken window and that the intruder was armed with a shovel.

When Jones turned toward the homeowner, police said, the homeowner shot him several times.

Jones, 25, was taken to an area hospital where he died, police said.
The homeowner and his roommate were taken in for questioning.

Hershel Johnson, who lives across the street from the home, said he heard two shots and walked outside to see a man lying on the ground next to the resident’s white Toyota Avalon. He had been shot at least once beneath his left arm, he said.
A shovel lay beside the man, and the vehicle’s left side rear passenger window had been broken.

Johnson said his neighbor has lived in the home about 10 years with his roommate, and worked as a self-employed landscaper.

“I’m behind him 100 percent,” Johnson, 70, said of his neighbor. “He is an honest guy and he works every day to make a living.”
