Illegals Suing For Being Stopped After Crossing US Illegally

    Mexicans' American Civil Rights

Illegals Suing For Being Stopped After Crossing Into US Illegally

I warned a long time ago what happens when the ‘civil rights‘ equation is thrown into a liberal argument. You get gay marriage. Now Mexicans who cross into the United States illegally are using that same argument should they be detained after breaking our law, and are actually SUING us…! http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/200 ... a-rancher/

An Arizona man who has waged a 10-year campaign to stop a flood of illegal immigrants from crossing his property is being sued by 16 Mexican nationals who accuse him of conspiring to violate their civil rights when he stopped them at gunpoint on his ranch on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Their ‘civil right’ to violate our sovereign border and treat our nation like the dump they’re fleeing….

Can you imagine what will happen to the American southwest should they win?

As far as I know the illegals are all presenting hearsay of verbal abuse and there was not even any physical harm done to any of them. Wow! NO STANDING! HELLO? We cannot even prosecute verbal abuse in the workplace on hearsay alone with no witnesses! What international law is this? I want to take that law to work in my own defense! OMG!

I want to know if one of ours goes to Mexico illegally or even legally will the ACLU take the Mexican rancher or people or municipality to court if we are verbally threatened and never actually physically harmed? Who will support us in Mexico? There have been plenty of cases of simple well-meaning ignorance that have landed U.S. citizens in Mexican jails with great suffering and lack of Rx - which was what they went for in the first place - they just were not up-to-date on how to do it. As far as I know each of these people had to defend themselves until occasionally a politician was able to make relief on their behalf. This greatest nation in the world defends illegals before citizens on every count it seems. No matter if it is a privately funded charitable organization or not - the effect is the same and it is wrong. I want to sue the ACLU for not defending my rights equally and being a discriminatory organization. I'm just sick of it.

    Illegals suing

Is this referring to Rancher Barrett (I think)? One court already found him GUILTY and ordered him to pay a HUGE fine to the trespassers. Last I heard, the case was still on appeal.
This man was only trying to protect his property. Even if this group of illegals was a group of American hunters, the land owner can sue for poaching. But since they were illegal invaders, the court rules against the landowner's right to protect his property.

    Simply outrageous.

Roger Barnett, 64, began rounding up illegal immigrants in 1998 and turning them over to the U.S. Border Patrol, he said, after they destroyed his property, killed his calves and broke into his home.

His Cross Rail Ranch near Douglas, Ariz., is known by federal and county law enforcement authorities as "the avenue of choice" for immigrants seeking to enter the United States illegally.

Trial continues Monday in the federal lawsuit, which seeks $32 million in actual and punitive damages for civil rights violations, the infliction of emotional distress and other crimes. Also named are Mr. Barnett's wife, Barbara, his brother, Donald, and Larry Dever, sheriff in Cochise County, Ariz., where the Barnetts live. The civil trial is expected to continue until Friday.

The lawsuit is based on a March 7, 2004, incident in a dry wash on the 22,000-acre ranch, when he approached a group of illegal immigrants while carrying a gun and accompanied by a large dog.
