Senators call for scraping 'virtual fence'

WASHINGTON — Two senators say it's time to consider ending a contract for a "virtual fence" along the U.S.-Mexico border that they contend isn't keeping illegal immigrants out of the United States.
Independent Sen. Joe Lieberman said Tuesday the government should either terminate the contract with Boeing Co. or take from it any working parts and scrap the rest.
Illinois Democrat Roland Burris asked Border Protection Commissioner Alan Bersin whether the contract could be canceled. Bersin said he was not able to render a judgment on a legal issue.

I don't believe that headline could have come out of AP! I guess the editors there these days don't know Ingles.
If one is out there "scraping" a fence, you are out there with sandblasters and Brillo pads. But if one is "scrapping" a fence, you get rid of it.
Goodness, I just hope taxpayer dollars are not going to be spent for Brillo pads!Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
