    Two people remain behind bars for allegedly kidnapping and raping an immigrant who they held captivity in Arroyo City.

    Cameron County sheriffs deputies arrested 37 year old Ricardo Garcia Avendano, a resident of Mexico.

    They also arrested Maria Isabel Martinez of Rio Hondo.

    Sheriff deputies say the pair held their victim captive. Garcia Avendano is also accused of raping the women several times.

    His bond is set at $113,000. Martinez bond is $25,000.

    Resident of Mexico should be the first clue. That's a PC way articles commonly use to side step the immigration status.
