I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Why is the state of Washington allowing these MECHISTAS to form groups in that state? Jeeze, this crap started in California and it's growing like a fungus among us!

MEChA is a militant Chicano organization started by Anchor Babies with chips on their shoulders. California let this crap get out of hand. It should NEVER have been allowed to get started here in California, but back then, school administrators thought these racist chicano groups were "harmless farm laborers kids just forming a little club of their own on campus"...what a bunch of idiots!

Margarita Esquivel, co-chairwoman of the Chicano/a Latino/a Student Alliance, said people need to be more informed about immigration issues.
Yeah, they sure do, like being educated about the HUGE difference between LEGAL and ILLEGAL immigration!

What human right? The human right to come here illegally and be at public charge?

Maybe they do and that's why it will pass!

I see it as a long over do enforcement of the law. The only discriminating act is the Mexican only club you co-chair.

And for do for starters it's not immigration issues, it's illegal immigration the bill targets. Maybe you should start by informing people of that fact first!

How does it restrict the rights of US citizens?

Proposed Initiative 409 would prohibit illegal immigrants in Washington state from obtaining drivers’ licenses by requiring proof of citizenship. It would also deny illegal immigrants certain federal, state and local public benefits over the age of 14.

Public and private employers would also be required to check that new employees can legally work in the U.S., possibly using a federal program called E-Verify.
Looks great to me, it's meant to enforce the law against illegal aliens. Illegal aliens should not be entitled to anything in the US.

Some ALIPAC supporters in Washington State should check to see if MECHA registered as a state political action committee and if not, see if they broke any state laws by opposing this ballot initiative as a group.

We signed this initiative. However, I wouldn't have a clue as to how to check out if someone like MECHA is a registered PAC??? Or about having to be registered to do this. Washington State on the Westside (where most the population is) is very liberal :-/.
Actually I don't even know how many signatures they have gathered. We signed in late July, but they have to get 225,000 signatures to get it on the ballot.
