Illegal alien arrested on sodomy charges

The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office reported arresting an illegal alien for allegedly sodomizing two male juveniles.

Authorities charged Alberto Carbal-Collazo, 36, of Boaz, with two counts of first-degree sodomy. Investigator Carla Carroll said first-degree sodomy is a felony.

Collazo remained in the Etowah County Detention Center on Monday under a total bond amount of $22,000.

The incident reportedly occurred at a residence in Boaz, Sheriff Todd Entrekin said in a statement.
