KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Christopher Wenell admitted Wednesday he helped an illegal alien who was using a phony Social Security card to work in a federal building cafeteria.
Wenell, 44, pleaded guilty in federal court in downtown Kansas City.
He worked as the Food Service Director for Aramark Services, Inc., the company which runs the cafeteria in the Richard Bolling Federal Building in downtown Kansas City.
Wenell said he recruited Luis Carreon to work in the cafeteria at the building, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Kansas City.
Wenell knew Carreon was an illegal alien from Mexico, according to the news release.
Wenell faces up to five years in federal prison and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines.
