Driscoll police arrested seven illegal immigrants from Mexico on Wednesday and turned them over to the Border Patrol, officials said.

Police arrested the immigrants after they bailed out of their vehicle and fled during a traffic stop in Driscoll on Wednesday, Border Patrol spokesman Rick Rosas said. Police pulled the vehicle over near a Driscoll convenience store.

Rosas said he did not know if other illegal immigrants were in the vehicle and could have escaped from authorities.
