Undocumented immigrant sentenced for pointing gun at CMPD officer

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A federal judge sentenced an undocumented immigrant to three years in prison for pointing a gun at a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer and then pretending to be shot when the officer drew her weapon and fired.

Prosecutors said Adolbo Albarran-Flores was on a plumbing job at a restaurant on Woodlawn Road when surveillance video showed him firing a gun in order to scare off someone he said was trying to break into his work van.

An officer in a marked car showed up and Albarran-Flores raised his arms and pointed the gun at the officer.

The officer fired a shot in his direction.

Prosecutors said Adolbo-Albarran pretended to be shot before throwing his gun into a bush.

By imposing the sentence, the federal judge found Albarran-Flores knew the person was an officer and assaulted her.

After Albarran-Flores serves his three year sentence and two years of supervised released, he will face deportation proceedings.

Yes!

IMO the 2 years of supervised "release" should be skipped and just deport his butt! He'll probably skip out on this and just move somewhere else and start over.

The only problem I have is allowing him released into our society for 2 years for "supervision". "Supervision of what?" DEPORT HIS ASS THE DAY HE IS RELEASED FROM PRISON.

EXACTLY!! How is he supposed to live in the US illegally without stealing someone's job for 2 years?? GET HIS ASS OUT OF HERE THE MINUTE HE'S RELEASED. In fact, pick him pu a day early to make sure he doesn't skip out on some confusion at the jail on release day.
