Two youths shot down in violent northern Mexico border city

NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico – Two unknown assailants opened fire on a group of youths in the center of this violent border city Monday night, killing two instantly and leaving one severely wounded.
The wounded 27-year-old man drove nearly three kilometers (two miles) to a hospital, police investigator Pablo Madrid said. Doctors said his condition was extremely grave.

The attack took place at 9:15 p.m. local time (0315 GMT). No one had been arrested as of Monday night.

With the latest shootings, Nuevo Laredo, a city of 300,000 across the Rio Grande from Laredo, Texas, has recorded 19 homicides since the beginning of the year.

Violence in Nuevo Laredo has spiked since early last year. U.S. and Mexican authorities blame two powerful drug cartels battling for control of the area's key smuggling corridors into the United States.

This is exactly what I mean that US has very serious threats from our neighbor. This is what its going to happen to America if we don'y start protecting our culture which I think it will be placed for extinction if the government doesn't quick. i live right accross from this extremely violent city. We will get affected next wether our city mayor believes it or not. This will probably spread accross America in the next 10 to 15 years. We need to protect our culture quickly. Like i Said, there hardly any American culture left here in Laredo, Texas. These is a sign of the times. Washington needs to approve HR4437. If not, we are going to have some very serious problems as a country a little further down the road. Lets all please protect America.
