Urge vote against DR-CAFTA, FTAA

The Dominican Republic-Central American Free Trade Agreement is proposed by the United States and five Central American countries in addition to the Dominican Republic. It is a steppingstone to a Free Trade Area of the Americas.

These agreements promise everything and would result in disaster for this country and its work force.

Hidden in the hundreds of pages of this agreement, in addition to the outsourcing of American jobs, are issues that are detrimental to the environment, American independence and sovereignty and help set up worldwide harmonization and globalization on many levels. These issues would all greatly impact daily life, including the food we eat and the freedom to buy and use vitamin supplements to maintain good health.

Environmental safeguards go by the wayside as companies are allowed to ignore good environmental practices in the interest of profit. These initiatives ultimately set up a government in this hemisphere to mirror the European Union and strip individual countries of independence and sovereignty. A one-world government is the goal.

Please ask your congressmen and senators to vote against DR-CAFTA and FTAA, the next steps down a very slippery slope for this country if passed.
