The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office raided a Scottsdale furniture business today and arrested 12 out of 20 employees, according Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The Maricopa County Sheriff Office Illegal Immigration Interdiction team conducted the raid at Scottsdale Art Factory, 7407 E. Greenway, in the Scottsdale Airpark this morning.
The sheriff's office had warrants for 10 people and arrested eight on suspicion of identity theft. Two remain outstanding. The investigation on site alleged that four more employees here illegally.
The investigation is continuing on the Scottsdale Art Factory. “We haven't connected the owners with violating the civil employer-sanctions law, but we did take off the streets eight felons on id thefts and forgery,â€

There is no way the personel were unaware they had illegals working for them .
I dont buy this B.S . . Proecute them . The writers are sugar coating .

I think if they changed the laws where the employers would be fined and/or prosecuted regardless of whether they did or did not knowingly hire illegals, it would terrify employers so much that they would all scramble to sign up for E-Verify. I don't think I've hardly EVER seen a case where it is blatantly obvious that they hire illegals. EVERY time they claim they didn't know. (The only blatant conviction I remember was that couple who had a dozen illegals working for them, housed them, and drove them back and forth to their restaurant, plus paid only in cash with no income taxes ever taken out).
But of course, that would be when the ACLU would come in with their examples of legal immigrants who were continuously harrassed about their legal status.
I have to say, my absolute favorite scene from the "American Carol" movie from last year was the ACLU zombie scene. If you haven't seen it, here it is on YouTube. Enjoy!
