    Could the accused Chandler Rapist have been stopped after one attack? If his DNA was on file, then yes, believes Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.

    Kyl recently sponsored legislation to expand the federal DNA database by having federal agencies collect samples from people arrested under federal authority and from illegal immigrants in federal detention.

    First the criminals, then us. Everyone's DNA will be in a database and will be part of their fusion center file.

    I have absolutely no problem with the acquisition of DNA from convicted felons. If the DNA can possible connect them to other crimes or identify them in later crimes, I say go for it.
