In a sharply worded blog post, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis — a top White House liaison to the Hispanic community — slams the tough Alabama immigration law as "beneath the dignity of this great nation," and calls out the state's Republican governor by name:
In a widely noticed human rights speech this month in Geneva, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton articulated U.S. policy on the fundamental rights of all people living in the world.
She said, “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights … rights are not conferred by government; they are the birthright of all people. It does not matter what country we live in, who our leaders are, or even who we are. Because we are human, we therefore have rights. And because we have rights, governments are bound to protect them.”
These basic rights extend to immigrants living in Alabama.
This April, Alabama legislators voted to make it a felony punishable by 1 to 10 years in prison for any undocumented immigrant living in the state to enter into a “business transaction.” That means signing a lease for an apartment or paying a utility bill.
By June, Governor Robert Bentley had signed H.B. 56 into law.
Imprisoning those who seek shelter and basic sustenance runs counter to the universal rights of all free people. It’s beneath the dignity of this great nation.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I agree , that is why they should stay in their own home countries and improve them, not go to where the practice of fairness and equal rights has been in effect for over two hundred years. Solis should go to Mexico and work for the rights of people there.
Why is it always Hispanics who keep trying to make our country, their country??
I know I am not the only one who notices this.

NCLR Funding Skyrockets After Obama Hires Its VP
Last Updated: Fri, 06/17/2011 - 2:48pm
A Judicial Watch investigation reveals that federal funding for a Mexican La Raza group that for years has raked in millions of taxpayer dollars has skyrocketed since one of its top officials got a job in the Obama White House.
..........................
Not surprisingly, a big chunk of the money (60%) came from the Department of Labor, which is headed by a former California congresswoman (Hilda Solis) with close ties to the La Raza movement. Since Obama named her Labor Secretary, Solis has launched a nationwide campaign to protect illegal immigrant workers in the U.S.Just this week Solis penned declarations with Guatemala and Nicaragua to preserve the rights of their migrants.

Funny if a bunch of U.S. citizens were trying to break into the Latin American countries and try to pull the same stunts over there, I guarantee that noone would be fighting for our "right" to take over those countries!!!

Why would Illegal Aliens break in if they can't get squat? I don't want Illegal Aliens, (and most that support these laws) populating our prisons. Then We still have to pay for them.
We want all the Illegal Aliens out of our communities, states, and most of all America..!Last edited by airdale; 12-21-2011 at 10:30 AM.

In my opinion, Solis is a reconquista abusing her power by trying to impart her own racist views and preferences.

Everyone should be born free and equal. Its when they decide to break the law and enter another country illegally and have their kids in that country illegally thats the problem. Solis needs to get her facts and head realigned.
