CBP Seize $130K At Port Of Entry

EL PASO, Texas -- Customs and Border Protection officers said they confiscated $130,000 at the Ysleta international crossing Tuesday afternoon.

Officers said they were searching vehicles heading south across the border and began questioning a driver of a 1996 Pontiac Bonneville.

Officials said the driver denied having any currency, weapons or ammunition, but officers continued their search with a CBP currency detector dog.

They said they then found eight tape-wrapped bundles in the firewall area of the car, all together holding $130,000.
