Thank heavens someone tipped them off and they found them. They whine about how America terriorizes them (illegals) but I can't think it's a weekend at the Hilton for how the smugglers treat them.

Can you say SCAM? Why would a relative in MEXICO call any US police department to report a kidnapping of their illegal alien relatives? Aren't they afraid of getting the relatives deported? What was I thinking?!?!? We have "VICTIM" visas now, all "kidnapping victims" will get an all expenses paid free pass into the US, thanks to the U visas!

The kidnappers get deported to bring in even MORE "victims".

Wasn't there a 10,000 U visa limit and didn't we reach that the FIRST month it came out?

Watch for a TREMENDOUS surge in kidnappings in the US (kidnapping must have occurred in US to get U visa).

It IS a scam Miguelina, you are absolutely right.

The visa thing would not surprise me although I hadn't heard about that one.

What I have heard about is IAs in Maricopa County claiming to be kidnap victims in order to avoid being criminally charged as co-conspirators under AZ's Coyote Law.

This particular scam started shortly after Joe Arpaio and Andrew Thomas began prosecuting them under the law.

Here's likely what it's all about (the scam as azwreath and miguelina have talked about):

Victim Visas—How America Stupidly Rewards Misfortune and Fraud
    By Brenda Walker

In my midnight moments of immigration-anarchy-induced depression, I imagine a stealth cadre of immigration lawyers housed deep within the White House whose job is to devise fiendish ideas for the worst possible visa categories, in order to desensitize citizens to the nation-wrecking insanity afoot.

Near the top of the list of Washington's corrosive creations (which include Diversity Visas and asylum/refugee policies that are welcome mats for fraud) would be the “Victim Visaâ€

[quote]“One widow has more than $2 million but walks or rides the bus everywhere, terrified of drawing attention. Another millionaire widow stopped going to 9/11 support groups because she feared that families of police officers and firefighters might betray her. A widower has enough money to start a business building houses, but cannot buy himself a home.â€

Thanks for posting the article Zee.

This is something else which needs to be done away with. We're turning into the United States of Doormats and it's really no damned wonder why we're laughed at as fools world wide.
