LAS VEGAS -- A man was arrested by federal and local law enforcement agents on a federal warrant for allegedly driving his vehicle into an Immigration and Customs Enforcement vehicle, according to Sgt. Dave Stansbury of the Criminal Apprehension Team.

Lon Allen Clark, 29, was arrested at about 1:40 p.m. Tuesday by members of CAT, a federal task force of investigators from Metro and Henderson Police Departments and the FBI, along with two ICE agents, Stansbury said.

Clark was wanted on a federal warrant charging him with assault on a federal officer. The warrant was the result of an event on Sept. 18 in which ICE agents were attempting to detain Clark for questioning, Stansbury said.

He said during that event, Clark allegedly drove his vehicle into a vehicle occupied by ICE agents, injuring one of the agents in the collision. One of the ICE agents fired at least one shot at Clark, but Clark escaped.

On Tuesday morning, the task force went to numerous addresses in the northeast part of the Valley and eventually found Clark trying to escape through a trailer park, Stansbury said.

Stansbury said Clark was located while attempting to hide in a storage shed near the intersection of East Owens Avenue and North Lamb Boulevard.

Clark was taken into custody without incident and arrested, Stansbury said.
