7-Eleven clerk fired in wake of shooting

ASPEN — Bruno Kirchenwitz was fired Monday from his job at the Basalt 7-Eleven.

The firing came nearly two weeks after Kirchenwitz may have been the target of five rifle shots that were fired into the store. Kirchenwitz said a 7-Eleven official who called to inform him of his dismissal claimed it was unrelated to the shooting incident.

He isn’t buying it. Kirchenwitz believes he was fired because his presence as a clerk at the store could be bad for business. He is an outspoken critic of illegal immigration.

This bothers me........notice something ,but don't report it if the people in question fit a profile you are to notice ,but ignore.....

It's a reason why most of us need to use "noms de guerre". Wouldn't they love to find out where we worked and lived?

Another example of the American Corporate Complex that has no scruples, or backbone, whatsoever. Instead of standing up against the criminal, they punish the victim. It's easier because he's white. And we all know that if your white, in any altercation with an illegal alien, you're a racist and always at fault. I hope this kid gets somebody with a spine to pursue wrongful termination against 7-11 and these illegal alien scum get caught AND deported.

The idiots who shot him should be arrested. The employee was also an idiot and should have been fired. Since when is an employee in the customer service industry entitled to escalate such a confrontational situation. I'll be the first to defend this individual for wearing his hat off hours; but the moron has to understand that in the environment he is working in, he may have some problems. From that point, as an employee of 7-Eleven, his job is not to defend his actions but to appease the idiots while the police arrive.
