LINCOLN — First United Methodist Church in Lincoln is hosting a peacemaking workshop Jan. 16.

The workshop will discuss how people of faith can be a strong voice for positive immigration reform, while countering a proposed Arizona-type law in Nebraska. The program — titled “Current Immigration Policy: A Cultural Sinâ€

The Bible I know says:
Romans 13

1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

2Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.


1 Timothy 1

8But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

Romans 13:1-7: "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities." Neither God nor the Bible ever rewards lawlessness (1 Timothy 1:8-10

But I guess they have no clue on such things.

First United Methodist Church: We do not want illegals here. Americans run this country and we do not support illegal immigration and we do not suppor amnesty for illegal aliens. Illegals have to leave.
