HOUSTON - A new website aims to build public pressure on the Texas House to admonish one of its members.

CensureLeo.com urges visitors to sign a petition targeting State Representative Leo Berman of Tyler.

The website was born out of a heated disagreement. Last week, Berman was arguing about one of his bills with a Dallas immigration attorney.

House Bill 254 would require all illegal immigrants in Texas to relocate to a so-called "sanctuary city," where local law enforcement generally turns a blind eye to immigration status.

Berman admits the bill is less legislation and more a shot across the bow of big-city mayors.

In his verbal altercation with attorney Harry Joe, who is Chinese-American, Berman admits saying, "Go home!"

Joe told FOX 26 News he took the exclamation to be a slur. "Oh, it's pretty clear what he meant to me, I just wasn't going to confront him any more."

But the east Texas Republican told FOX 26 News he is not racially prejudiced and he didn't mean anything other than the literal meaning.

When I said, 'go home,'" said Berman, "the only home I knew that he is from is Dallas where he practices his law in support of illegal aliens in violation of his own oath of office."
