MICHOACAN

Narco banners from the Knights Templar continue to appear around the state, offering rewards for certain Zeta members. This time the banners have photos, and a phone number to call.





MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN

Governor Rodrigo Medina, security spokesperson Jorge Domene Zambrano, and Attorney Adrian de la Garza held a press conference on Monday morning where the identities of the 5 men caught for the casino attack were reported. It included a video showing the men buying gasoline, and their vehicles at the casino. All of them have confessed and also said they are Zetas. The investigation continues.







CHIHUAHUA

The week is starting with narco banners placed in different locales in the cities of Ciudad Juarez and Chihuahua (there’s a city and state with same name. The banners are not signed, and point to President Calderon as protecting Joaquin Guzman Loera, known as El Chapo Guzman, leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. It also accuses El Chapo for the shooting at the Torreon stadium and the attack on the Monterrey casino.



CAMARGO, TAMAULIPAS

Federal Police reported that officers conducted a raid on Saturday and captured Abel Gonzalez Briones, aka The R-2, financial manager of the Gulf Cartel. Six other cartel members were also caught, including Bryan Aguilar Jorge Hinojosa, aka The R-24, who is chief coordinator for transfer of the drugs to the United States. Seized were eight rifles, two handguns, 16 magazines, four grenades, cartridges, a bag of marijuana, radios, $ 60,000, various documents, among other things.





MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN

During the day on Monday, narco banners appeared which said the Zetas were responsible for the casino attack. It read that La Rana was the mastermind, and the attack itself was authorized by Z-40. It also has an organizational chart with photos showing some leaders of the Zetas.


SANTA CRUZ LOS PATOS, STATE OF MEXICO

In the weekend’s M3, there was a report of a narco grave found which had 5 bodies, and a note that the authorities said there could be up to 23 more. It seems likely the information probably came from someone arrested that knows of the sites. Monday afternoon, it was announced that two graves had been found where “at leastâ€
