Arizona immigration law result of fear, Hispanics in Manatee say

By TIMOTHY R. WOLFRUM - twolfrum@bradenton.com Buzz up!

MANATEE — Manatee County’s Hispanic activists say the new Arizona immigration law is another example of irrational fear guiding public policy.

And that fear has begun trickling down to Hispanics, the people who will be affected most if other states, like Florida, follow Arizona’s lead, they say.

    Illegal aliens must be deported

It is time for illegal aliens to leave our country. We do not want illegal aliens here.

    No need

There is ABSOLUTELY no need for anger and fear if you are a resident or are an invited guest....none. We are the most diverse nation on the freakin planet. That is a crock of #$%^

Stop trying to hide illegals inside the entire U S hispanic/latin community. That is just dirty and if you should be angry at anyone its the illegals themselves.

whoever wrote the article is confused, or dyslexic. 1st the law abiding USA public is irrational, and out of fear, passing laws to protect the legal citizens, 2nd, he says aliens , or just "hispanics" are afraid. well, breaking news:... americans are not afraid. we are just done with the horse$#&@. the illegals are TERRIFIED of LAW ENFORCEMENT. and there will be new laws. lots of them. mabey today will be the day when the violent protesters throw rocks and bottles at the cops, and the cops open fire, instead of running away.

Friday April 30 my Florida City Quietly started the 287G program. How many other communities are doing the same ?

Time for IA's to pack up and go home as it will just get harder and harder to stay here without being arrested.

[/quote]Miranda surveyed chamber members and associates, and 73.3 percent of respondents who had an opinion opposed the law. Half expected such a law to pass in Florida.
Everyone knows that the Gulf Coast Latin Chamber of Commerce would not approve of Arizona's law.

We recognize that if you really want to create a job tomorrow, you can remove an illegal alien today
