What Trent Lott said, and my letter to him
Sir, You said:
Sen. Trent Lott, Mississippi Republican, acknowledged that most Republicans oppose the bill in its current form, but said its not a huge topic in his home state.
"People in my state have a little different attitude toward immigrants because they've been saving our skin" by providing inexpensive labor for post-Hurricane Katrina reconstruction, he said.
"Inexpensive labor", that's the name of this shyster new reform bill.
Are you aware that a bus load of black men, from Georgia, went to New Orleans after KATRINA, to work?
When they got there, they were told to get back on the bus and go home, because, "the Mexicans have arrived."
According to the Ga. newspapers, then men returned crying, as they needed work!
You are betraying America and American workers just like Bush!
As a Republican, I no longer will vote for Party, I will vote issues, and this illegal mess is far too important to stick with one Party!
It's time for a 3rd Party, and 2008 just maybe the year!Do not vote for Party this year, vote for America and American workers!
