YUMA, Ariz. - Border Patrol agents rescued 14 illegal immigrants trying to make it to the U-S late Christmas night from a remote Air Force bombing range in southwest Arizona.
The migrants - including five children - activated an emergency rescue beacon installed on the range southeast of Yuma. The Border Patrol says they were abandoned by a smuggler on Saturday when they couldn't keep up with him and the other seven members of their group.
The group wandered in the desert all day yesterday and finally saw the rescue beacon strobe light after dark. They activated it out of desperation at about 9 o'clock and were soon rescued.
The Border Patrol says they were about 25 miles from civilization when they were found. There's no word on the rest of the group.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

OK, just my twisted humor here but could you imagine their thoughts had they been lost and then caught up under a practice bombing run??
They'd be saying, "Holy Mary, they are getting serious about border security!!"
Thank you! We are ready to roll.
