Immigrant advocates plan house parties for reform

LOS ANGELES — Immigrant advocates will hold nearly 900 house parties in communities across the country to drum up support for an overhaul to the country's immigration system.

The events on Wednesday will include a teleconference with Congressman Luis Gutierrez, D-Illinois, who plans to introduce an immigration reform bill that would help undocumented immigrants gain legal status.

Jorge Mario Cabrera, a spokesman for the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, says the goal is to encourage conversations in local communities to help promote immigration reform.

Sixty house parties are planned for California and at least 52 are called for Illinois.

So why "house parties" - do they want to hide or something? Is it because they know if they march outside all the illegal aliens will carry their home country's flag, and have signs written in Spanish, and therefore our claims will be proven correct once again? Or perhaps because they know too many of us counter-protestors would be there to greet them?

We need to have some more Anti-amnesty Tea Parties!

Let us have our own party - a calling party to our Congress members to say, NO to amnesty, NO to pathway to citizenship, NO to the Dream Act. Americans want laws enforced, illegal aliens out of their jobs, and available jobs, and self deportation sounds like a grand idea.

The biggest NO should be to end Birthright Citizenship, so that there is no more crying about separation from their American born children - who they just use for freebies and to anchor their illegal selves here. Waaaaaa

Since they say this is a movement by Christians the first thing they should do at the house parties is to read the ten commandments. The party would be over in an instant if they started following them.

Very clever with the house parties. That means there is absolutely no verification of how many people attended in a private home -- 40 million sounds like a good number. And were all the attendees adults? No one will know, as probably there were plenty of anchor babies in attendance.
