ICE arrests 10 child predators and sex offenders

Ten child predators and sex offenders were arrested Thursday in Westchester County by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and officers of the Westchester County Department of Probation.

All of the individuals arrested have been previously convicted of sex offenses including rape, endangering the welfare of a child, forcible touching, public lewdness, sexual misconduct and sexual abuse. The youngest of the victims was 13 years old.

Among those targeted were:
  • A citizen of Ecuador who was convicted of rape in the second degree. His victim was his 13 year old cousin. He was sentenced to 10 years probation. [/*:m:1sad53ia]
  • A citizen of Ecuador who was convicted of sexual abuse. His victim was a 14 year old girl. He was sentenced to six years probation [/*:m:1sad53ia]
  • A Salvadoran national was convicted of Acting in a Manner Injurious to a Child. His victim was a 13 year old girl. He was also sentenced to six years probation. [/*:m:1sad53ia]


The criminals who were arrested Thursday are from Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador and Mexico. Non-citizen sex offenders are subject to administrative removal from the U.S. by ICE. ICE agents have transported the criminal aliens to various detention facilities where they will be placed into removal proceedings. Those with final orders will be deported from the country shortly. The others will have their cases heard before an immigration judge.
