Lone Protester- This Is Our America

When the idea of America was first conceived by our founders, they had no idea of the heights that dream would reach. They would have been astounded by what their dream has accomplished if they had glimpsed the future. Those ideals, written into the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and the Bill of Rights, has made us the greatest country this world has ever known. I believe that all those ideals can be defined in a few words, namely, that men would be free. Free to dream of what is possible if we set our minds to it. Could the founders have thought that what they started so long ago, would eventually put an American on the moon? Could they have thought that what they started would act as a catalyst for the world? There is not one person, anywhere, who hasn’t heard of America and dreams of coming here some day. That dream, I believe is going to be the catalyst that finally puts the human race on the road to the stars.

But that dream started dying, slowly, it probably began in the 1960’s. Sure, we went to the moon, but the last time was 35 years ago. The future was bright then, nothing was impossible. We had just won a world war, we were the driving force for the entire world, our industries were the best, our innovation, and our American ingenuity, made this country and world a better place. In fact, if America wasn’t here, then this world would be a really sad place to live. Can you imagine a world without America in it?

The sad thing is that it is happening, that idea of America that our founders conceived is slowly being killed, in all sorts of ways. Our government was started on the idea that it would be our servants and not our masters. But it is not that way anymore. Big brother has taken over and it looks like it is for good, unless the American people get off their asses and start taking it back. How many millions of us are really discouraged, mad, and feel helpless about what is happening to our country today? So angry that our politicians aren’t listening to us. There has to be at least two hundred million of us that feel that way, and that is a huge majority. But no one is listening.

And the majority is supposed to rule. Theoretically of course, because that isn’t what is happening today. Instead of listening to that 85% majority, our esteemed political leaders worry about that 15%. That small minority has a lock on all political power in this country. They have control our education system and have damn near destroyed it in the process. They have so taken over our justice system that the rule of law doesn’t matter anymore. Our judges issue decrees instead of defending the American people, politicians feel free to declare parts of America as sanctuary cities, thus voiding the laws set forth under our Constitution. Cops feel free to enforce some laws and ignore others. The rule of law has been negated and anarchy reigns everywhere. Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war.

It is time for us to wake up. Wake up to the fact that if we don’t do something quick, then this country is going to slip away from us, as it surely is beginning to. Every one of you has a responsibility in this. This country belongs to us and not a bunch of worthless and useless politicians that have been there forever and a day. Their ideas may have been good in their day, but their day has passed, their ideas are defunct, and they just need to go away, resign or whatever and get the hell out of the way. We need new blood in our political offices, new ideas, fresh thinking, people who will put America before their own narrow self interest. The old ideas are passé, along with the politicians that have them. America is on the way to the future and the politicians are always getting in the way. They have been there for so long that they believe they own this country. But they don’t, it belongs to the American people, and we need to make them remember that. This isn’t about politics, as the politicians like to look at it, this is about the future of America and the American people and not about who is going to win the next election. Where are the leaders, in Washington today, that are of the capacity of our founders? Where are the ones today, that would put their signatures on the Declaration of Independence. Where are the ones today that should tell Vincente Fox to shove it and go back to fix the mess his own country is and keep his nose out of the affairs of ours? Where are the ones today that say we will follow the rule of law? Which ones today put the interest of the people before all else? That is what we have to start changing, now before it is too late. Neither of our political parties will listen to us anymore, with them, it is all about politics and who wins the election and damn the American people in the process. They have bastardized the meaning of America, they have cheapened and dishonored it and we need to change it back to it’s original meaning.

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

So what did they put in our water, huh??

A handful of us here at ALIPAC have been very introspective and philosophical in the past couple of days. I LOVE reading all your musings and analyses. Thanks for posting your very wise words.
Calderon was absolutely right when he said...."Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico".

What happened is that the polititians, Hollywood, teachers, the media did everything to convince us that America is wrong, that America is mean and this generation felt in their trap it .
